Prototype terms · October 12, 2026

Use the evidence carefully. Keep the claims precise.

These terms describe the intended use and limitations of the Attestome public prototype.

1. Prototype status

Attestome is an experimental, as-is software prototype. It may change, contain defects, or produce outputs that are incompatible with future versions. It is not a production laboratory system, record archive, identity service, timestamp authority, or guaranteed availability service.

2. Permitted use

You may use the public interface and builder assets to evaluate local artifact integrity workflows, create receipts for non-sensitive research materials you are authorized to process, and independently test the documented format.

3. Prohibited material and activity

  • Do not enter patient-identifying, clinical, genetic-identifying, health-record, consent, credential, or confidential access information.
  • Do not use Attestome for diagnosis, treatment, safety decisions, human-subject management, regulatory submissions, or legal proof.
  • Do not misrepresent a matching digest as proof that research findings are correct, reproducible, original, authorized, or owned by a particular person.
  • Do not use the product to infringe rights, evade access controls, publish restricted material, or mislead collaborators.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the files and metadata you choose, your authority to process them, redaction, device security, exported receipt handling, independent backups, and the meaning you assign to a result. Review receipts before sharing them because file names and user-entered fields may reveal project context.

5. Integrity semantics

A successful receipt verification means the canonical payload recomputes to its recorded digest. A successful file comparison means the selected bytes recompute to the recorded file digest. Neither result establishes scientific validity, identity, time, ownership, consent, regulatory status, or the absence of misconduct.

6. Wallet and network tools

Wallet connection is optional. The current release requests only a public account connection and read-only provider data. It contains no signing or transaction path. The visible 0.53 BOT payment preflight is inert: payments are not offered in this release, no payment request is created, and confirmation is disabled. Do not treat any preview or unsigned envelope as a completed anchor.

7. No medical, legal, or compliance advice

Attestome does not provide medical, scientific, legal, regulatory, privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual-property, or records-management advice. Obtain qualified review for your organization and use case.

8. No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the prototype is provided without warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, availability, or preservation. You should verify outputs independently and maintain authoritative source records elsewhere.

9. Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the prototype contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or data-loss damages arising from use or inability to use the prototype. Some jurisdictions do not allow particular exclusions, so those exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Changes and discontinuation

The prototype, schemas, interfaces, and these terms may be modified or discontinued. A version field in a receipt identifies its data format; it does not promise perpetual software support.
